A Subsurface Data Management Solution Company seeks a QC Manager to view all information from a Geoscience perspective and ensure all data and information is captured and maintained according to the client’s specified requirements. Applicants are invited with 10 + years’ experience preferably in seismic processing or acquisition with the ambition to succeed within a small team.

Salary: A Base salary of between £50K - £60K is on offer depending on skills and experience. Benefits are also on offer including Medical, Dental and Life Insurance.

Job Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for: • Keeping abreast of emerging trends and technologies within your relevant field. • Verifying the operational process to the extent the data and information are produced as per the contractual requirements. • Viewing all information from a Geoscience perspective and ensuring all data and information is captured and maintained according to the client’s specified requirements. • Conducting a final review and having the responsibility of ensuring the final deliverables are of the highest quality. • Evaluating seismic trace data ensuring validity of data and various attributes. • Identifying typical and atypical problems in data and applying remediation. • Examining seismic support data for completeness and quality. • Managing seismic data in a relational database, accuracy of metadata. • Performing systematic periodic evaluation of jobs/projects while in progress insuring quality of work. • Analysing data with a view to improving/modifying workflows. • Liaising with clients and applying necessary adjustments to processes and procedures to meet project requirements. • Creating various media output of data accompanied with detailed data transmittal. • Preparing and providing project reports to clients and operations management. Required Experience & Qualifications: The successful candidate will have: • Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics or Geology essential. • A minimum of 10 years E&P industry experience essential, preferably seismic processing or acquisition experience. • Proven knowledge of seismic data (acquisition, processing, formats and media types) essential. • Knowledge of E&P Data Management requirements and expectations essential. • Strong understanding of seismic acquisition and processing in terms of technology, process, and results. • Advance Microsoft Excel skills highly desired. • Advance understanding of sub-surface media types and formats highly desired. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak and write simply, coherently and persuasively to all levels within an organisation. • Good project management skills –the ability to prioritise competing demands, focus, and make decisions. • Ambition to drive results, taking proactive steps to accomplish objectives, being highly motivated to achieve goals beyond what is required
